Nontombi Naomi Tutu and Malcolm du Plessis on praise and protest

Episode Summary

In light of the news of the passing of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Malcom du Plessis sent this recording he made a few years ago. Mal is a music producer and the founder of the Common Hymnal collective. In 2020 he partnered with Desmond Tutu’s daughter, the Rev. Nomtombi Naomi Tutu, to make some resources for followers of Jesus engaged in Praise and Protest. This short piece we are about to hear is called “I MOVED FROM ONE SOUTH AFRICA TO ANOTHER” As Mal says, “The title kind of says it all.” Thank you to Common Hymnal and the Rev. Tutu for allowing us to re-issue this recording today.
